Dorothy Must Die {book review}

Sure, I've read the books. I've seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little blue birds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can't be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There's still a road of yellow brick—but even that's crumbling.

This is a retelling of the sequel to The Wizard of Oz - The Emerald City of Oz.  Dorothy came back to Oz and became a Hitler-like dictator.  Poor Oz was turned into a Nazi Germany like place to live, with fear and death everywhere. 

This story is really good and I enjoyed the new take on this classic tale!  I knew that this was not a standalone piece, but I couldn't help my rooting for Amy during her fight scenes and maybe dropping some F bombs when things didn't go the way I wanted.  I'm currently waiting for the second installment of the series, The Wicked Will Rise, to come out in paperback!  I can't wait to continue the story!!!
